Red-light camera does not seem to work |
time:2009-11-28 hits:5637 |
Are the red-light cameras at the intersection of Coffee Road and Sylvan Avenue broken? Has anyone noticed that three or four cars run that red light? These cars are turning left from Sylvan Avenue onto northbound Coffee Road. It happens every weekday from around 3 p.m. until about 6 p.m. Does not the city need the revenue these fines generate? At $360 a car, times four cars each light, that is $1,440. If this happens 10 times an hour, that is $14,400 per hour. For three hours that is $43,200 per working day or $216,000 in red light violations each workweek. That just can not be right. Would somebody please check my math?
